Trudon, a French royal fragrance house with over 400 years of history, was founded in 1643 and has since crafted ceremonial candles for many significant churches. It became the official candle maker for the French royal court, including King Louis XIV, Queen Marie Antoinette, and Napoleon. Mr. Cire Trudon, who remained devoted to traditional French craftsmanship and secret wax formulas, was revered by the French as “the sacred artisan who worked for gods and kings.”

The packaging of Trudon candles bears symbolic emblems—one of King Louis XIV, another of Napoleon, and a gold medallion awarded at the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris—testifying to the brand’s long-standing legacy and prestigious status.

Today, Trudon continues to be the preferred fragrance in the homes of European nobility, dignitaries, and celebrities. It is also the chosen partner for luxury maisons such as Hermès, Cartier, and Dior in exclusive cross-brand collaborations.

A candle brand that has witnessed royal life and French history, Trudon remains true to its values by using only natural ingredients. The candles are made without paraffin, relying instead on coconut, soybean, and palm oils. Each wick is crafted from 100% pure cotton, and the glass vessels are handmade by artisans in Vinci, Italy.
